The LC 2500 LED COMPACTA curing light is intended for the curing of dental composite in the oral cavity and is designed especially for this purpose. It is intended for integration in dental units where compressed air is available.
The power supply is built into the handpiece. All you need to do is connect a cable. The light source is a light diode.
The handpiece is manufactured from a type of plastic that is chemically and thermally stable and is, therefore, resistant to cleaning agents and heat from the halogen bulb. A pilot light which provides protection for your eyes is a standard facility of the COMPACTA. The polymerisation light is accompanied by regular acoustic signals which indicate how many seconds have passed. As soon as the pilot light is started, a valve is activated to provide the lamp with air. The valve remains activated for 20 seconds after the polymerisation light has switched off. The COMPACTA valve print including valve is delivered as a standard accessory.
The handpiece is designed as a natural continuation of the cable and fits comfortably in the hand. The handpiece can be hung beside other instruments from the top of the unit. Lysta has chosen a colour combination that suits almost all types of unit.
The handpiece is delivered with an ON/OFF switch.
The cooling air is directed into the rear section of the handpiece and expelled as a diffuse stream of air towards the patient through the gills at the front. This means that we do not take air from the patient’s oral cavity (which is full of bacteria) and send it, through the lamp’s ventilation system, into the face of the dentist or his/her assistant.
A range of light guides is available for various purposes (see light guide brochure). It is extremely easy to change the light guide in the handpiece and the light guide, which is manufactured from optical glass and has no metal attachment, can be autoclaved.
The light filter can be removed and cleaned. The handpiece can be disinfected with acetone-free alcohol and can be detached from the cable and sent for service, if necessary (without the help of a technician).
The complete handpiece includes a magnet valve for cooling air. The valve must be installed in the unit.
